The Canadian Cancer Society
Cancer is now the number one killer in every province and territory in Canada. Everyone Knows; a David, John, and Sandra they are now missing because of this disease.
Over the years, we, like many have had, people whom we have known were near and dear to us leave this earth well before their time. "Cancer Can Be Beaten".
Never forget the courageous people you know who fought valiant battles but in the end were taken from us. We urge everyone to do what you can in any way you can, please use the link provided to see how you can help.
Canadian Red Cross
We first had The Canadian Red Cross register in 2004 during the aftermath of the Indian Ocean Earthquake and the subsequent Tsunami. Over 230,000 people lost their lives and countless more were devastated in the aftermath. This was one of the deadliest natural disasters ever recorded.
Through The Canadian Red Cross, we were able to help. These donations were part of the more than $14 billion U.S. that were donated by the worldwide community. Since then I have seen how The Canadian Red cross has been able to help people in distress both at home in Canada and around the world. From "Katrina through Haiti to Turkey", The Canadian Red Cross helps in so many ways. Please visit The Canadian Red Cross to learn more about this organization.
Heart & Stroke Foundation
Heart disease and Stroke take 1 in 3 Canadians before their time. It's often referred to as the silent killer. Be diligent with yourself, your family and friends, see your doctor. Find out what you can do to protect yourself and your loved ones. If we all make an effort to be better informed and more aware, we can prevent more people from becoming a statistic. ESS Support Services
Phil Jackson has been an active member of the Board of directors for ESS for more than 7 years. As a board member we acknowledge the tedious work and efforts put forth by the CEO and her staff that manage the day to day function of the agency. My role is to make sure that we have a full slate of board members that meet monthly to review ESS activity. Our board organizes everything from fundraising, to outside activities in the community.
